University of Florida · Management Communication
Teaching students and training teams to communicate strategically at work. You are the expert. I can help you communicate what you know best.
Teaching
Each year, I teach more than 600 undergraduates and 160 working professionals to thrive at work by improving how they communicate day-to-day: in the boardroom, across departments, leading teams, and responding to clients.
I believe any learner needs four things: motivation, information, challenge, and feedback. I build my courses around these principles, inspiring students and pushing them to exceed even their own expectations.

Corporate Training
I offer tailored training sessions for teams of all sizes. Clients leave with a revamped toolkit for their day-to-day writing tasks and skills they can put to work immediately.
A focused training built around the fundamentals of professional workplace writing: email, client correspondence, and the habits that separate clear writers from everyone else.
Begins with a conversation with leadership about the specific communication challenges your team faces. The training is built around your actual documents, tasks, and goals.
An extended one-on-one engagement, typically 6 to 10 sessions over the course of a year, for leaders who want a thinking partner on every communication challenge they face.
About
My teaching career began in a warehouse, not a classroom. Having left college early to strike out on my own, I was working the night shift at a fulfillment center when I was offered a training position, helping onboard new employees and retrain the current staff on new digital tracking and shipping tools.
A few days into my new role, something magic happened: I realized that I could help people. I could help people acclimate to change, and I could set them up for success. And people kept telling me: you're a natural teacher.
It wasn't long before I was back in the classroom. Three degrees later, I found my home in the Management Communication Center at the Warrington College of Business. There, I run the writing program, setting the curriculum and drawing on my years of training experience to onboard and manage new faculty.
The motivation hasn't changed. I feel lucky to be in a position where I can genuinely help people develop new skills, master new strategies, and achieve their goals.
